Mission: Operation: Risa!
Location: Risa, Beaches of the Rainbow Shores
Timeline: 2265

Siivas walked out onto the beach and inhaled deeply of the saline scents that accompanied the mildly salten seas of Risa and stretched his arms, managing not to wince at what the effort of the maneuver cost him. He was there to speed his recovery a much as he could and with him, around him, cavorted Shareen and S'tal and Xian. The "tumbleweed twins" and the crew were referring to the Salumid were manning sickbay, preferring that environment to this one.

"Is it dark?" one had asked.

"It is cool?" the other had asked.

"Does it rain constantly?" the first asked.

"Are the seas briny?" the second asked.

As Siivas shook his head sadly, they had been quick to turn gray and brown, emoting discomfort and displeasure. "Thank you for the kind offer Doctor," Proot had said, "but we would rather stay here where we can retreat into comfort at the end of our shift rotation."

"If you prefer," Siivas had acted as if he was going to insist but they gushed that he should take the time, cited his injuries and begged him to take the rest of the medical staff with him.

That had worked rather nicely.

Stepping out into the direct sunlight, his bronze skin seemed all the darker despite his baggy knee-length floral print pink and lime green trunks and the plastic inflated red and pink sea-creature wrapped around his midsection. He looked absolutely pathetic and silly; and he loved it.

Behind him, the ladies giggled and cavorted gently as Andurean, the pack mule, brought up the rear overloaded with their umbrella, blanket, coolers, beverages and food they had purchased to bring with them.

He wore sunglasses, a pair of demure green and cobalt blue long shorts and a tank top, sandals and a long-suffering look of someone who was either contemplating torturous murder or suicide by slow poison; you couldn't be sure.

Skipping through the sand with the girls, they picked out a spot as Andurean, staggering under the weight of the various furniture and accessories they felt they absolutely MUST have slowly crept towards them.

As he arrived, Xian was looking around and as Andurean dropped all of it on the ground and stood, heaving she pointed to a spot over by a dune with flowers. "Oohh can we move over the- ?" and she stopped because Andurean's windserpent had jumped at her and nearly bitten her in the face, had not Andurean caught it by the tip of it's tail, glaring at her. The serpent hung by the tip of it's tail glaring, alternately, at her and at him.

Clearly it was thinking along the lines of "Why did you STOP me!?" at him and "That's right, I ALMOST got you!" at her.

"Or not," she said in a small voice and Andurean held his serpent over his shoulders and wrapped it across them and with a final look at her that clearly said "That's right..." it went back to curling around his neck, grumpily so though.

S'tal and Shareen were on the ground giggling and Siivas turned around, as if he hadn't seen or heard any of it, "Hm?"

"Umbrella," Andurean growled and bent and wedged it in and unfolded it so it provided some shade. Xian and the other got to setting things up and quickly, it got put together as an attendant came up and asked for orders. Andurean ordered several somethings by himself and turned to look at the others who, staring at him is shock, put in their own orders for a single beverage each.

Soon, Siivas was divested of his flotation device and laying on his belly on a towel in the sun, relaxing muscle by muscle as the sun worked its magic on him. Xian handed Andurean lotion and pointed a little imperiously at Siivas while he, and the serpent, glared at her.

"No."

"Your honor is worthless," she replied quietly.

He pursed his lips and looked as if he smelled something sour and snatched the bottle from her before dropping onto a folded towel beside Siivas and squirting a little of the lotion into one hand. S'tal, sitting nearby with Shareen gave Xian a wink. She winked back and lay back in the shade, waiting for her beverage.

Shareen, as a Deltan, nearly preened with delight but S'tal started whispering things in her ear that made her giggle softly.

As Andurean began to rub his hands together Xian said softly, "Massage."

His ears twitched and his back tensed and for a second she feared she might have actually pushed him too far. Then, to her and the other two's delight. He straddled Siivas' hips on his knees and leaned forward slightly and began to massage the lotion on, and into, Siivas' bronze skin.

Siivas, who'd be aware of some sort of contest of will going on behind him and knew something of the agreement Xian and Andurean had struck, wasn't quite prepared for what happened. He nearly started when he felt Andurean straddle his hips and several quips came to mind and nearly came out of his mouth. That was, before strong hands and fingers began to work his back and the ligaments and tendons that held his torso together, all of it very tense and tight from his injuries and healing. Shareen had done a great deal to help but her touch-therapeutic skills were a bit out of date.

Once the massage had begun, Siivas did his best imitation of melting wax.

Not only was the touch wonderful but as relaxed as he was, he had lost a bit of his control and was "leaking". Andurean wasn't as prone to being stimulated by him, even in direct skin-to-skin contact as they were so Siivas didn't really give it much concern and the Kolari hybrid didn't leak much emotionally or telepathically, so the touch was nearly machine-like.

This was different that the last time, where despite the angry resentful emanations he had received a good massage, now Andurean leaked nothing and Siivas felt buoyed up by wellness as he slid into healing trance.

He was barely aware when Andurean got off of him and moved away to begin drinking the beverages he'd ordered.
