General Overview While a generally optimistic person in spite of her history, Dox has a facade of pessimism designed to help hide her feelings.

After her relationship with Valin crumbled, she stepped away from the idea of being in a long term relationship and has since only engaged in casual sex and had recurring bouts of loss of control of her drinking, particularly in her time on Earth, a planet she has no particular love for.

Her relationship with Admiral Jones is a mildly antagonistic one, though there is mutual respect.

Finding her career path becoming embroiled in intelligence, Dox has adopted more and more of her estranged Mother’s personality traits becoming more guarded and emotionally distant.

Personal History Initially having been born in the 24th century, Dox was a Lieutenant and Chief Flight Officer of the U.S.S. Hera. (NCC-79010) In the year 2396, she and an away team travelled back in time to April, 2063 to prevent a temporal terrorist, Davo Mudd, from disrupting First Contact in an attempt to kickstart the creation of the Terran Empire. During the mission, Dox chased Mudd onto his ship and subdued the terrorist, but in the process, became stranded on Earth as his time ship crashed mid-way on it’s return to their present in the year 2285. Just prior to becoming lost, Dox had married her Miradonian Bond-Mate, Mona Gonadie.

In the crash, which occurred at Starfleet Headquarters, 6 relief officers were accidentally killed when Mudd set off his ship's Self Destruct sequence. Among the dead was a young medic named Ensign Marla McCafferty. When a recovering Dox learned of the deaths, she realized that McCaffery would have been the Great Grandmother of a cadent named Richard McCafferty that Dox had an encounter with at the Academy leading to her own academic suspension for six months. It was an encounter that delayed her graduation by a year and radically affected her career when she discovered that the fellow cadet, who had slept with her, was sleeping his way through every female alien on campus, causing a confrontation that turned physical where Dox put the young man in the infirmary.

Realizing she had dramatically altered her own past, she chose not to be put into suspended animation to try and return to her own time. After a lengthy interrogation with Admiral Thomas Lee Jones and Captain Charybdis MacGregor, Dox was offered her prior rank to serve with MacGregor (also a Romulan woman, functioning under the false pretext of being V'tosh ka'tur) on her ship, the U.S.S. Victory. NCC-1967

While initially being angry, sullen and withdrawn, the crew of the Victory brought the pensive Romulan out of her shell where she quickly became an integral part of the crew, becoming chief Helmsman and promoted to Lieutenant Commander within 6 months of service.

After her first year on the Victory, while dealing with depression, recurring alcoholism and the unusual circumstances which undid her marriage, Dox had entered a relationship with the ship's Tactical officer, Lieutenant Jessica Valin, for a time before eventually breaking up.

In that same year, the Victory was visited by a version of Dox from an alternate timeline. A version that had NOT been stuck in her own past, who imparted significant knowledge due to a relationship that hed been formed between her and the MacGregor of the future. Knowledge that enabled the crew to avert a tragedy that would have led to the death of the entire Medical team.

This visitation also acted to inspire MacGregor to take a sabbatical from Starfleet to focus on raising her soon-to-be born children on Earth with her human husband in Scotland. Meanwhile, plans were made with MacGregor, Dox and the CMO of the Victory, Siivas, to use their knowledge of future events to save Starfleet from a plot to infiltrate it by the Romulans.

With the crew of the Victory going their separate ways for a time, and with the nature of her career being largely classified, Dox also returned to Earth, serving as aide de camp to Admiral Jones and utilizing skills learned in her youth from her Mother, Jaeih t’Aan, a former Tal’Shiar operative to take on a more intelligence based career path.

In 2292, after taking six years sabbatical, Captain Charybdis MacGregor has reinstated her commission, and is given back command of the Victory.
