| Personal History | Born on Earth, in Shannon, Ireland to James and Moira O'Connor. His father was in StarFleet when he was born, and as such, was away on assignment when he was born, and often during his childhood. He spent most of his childhood studying engineering principles, building model vessels, and playing rugby. He got the opportunity to visit Starfleet HQ at age 14 thanks to his father, and he met a young Vulcan named Spock who was there as well with his father, who was an ambassador. The two became acquaintances and penpals, which allowed both to gain insight in each other's cultures. It was from this that he gained an interest in Vulcans and their culture. Accepted to StarFleet Academy and graduated in 2239. He was ranked number 12 in his class, and only 1 engineer ranked higher. While at Starfleet, he befriended an Andorian named Thoris. He would gain great insight into Andorian culture and began to appreciate it. He found Andorians to be great fun. He has served in StarFleet without fail or incident since graduating. |
